THE PLAYBOY STORY
The original Playboy shoe brand was established in 1936 in UK and is today originated out of Copenhagen. During the 60’s and 70’s the shoe met huge success and the brand grew rapidly throughout Scandinavia. In the beginning of the 70’s a special sailor’s shoe was successfully introduced for America’s Cup – followed by a moccasin met by success as well.
This resulted in launching of a full collection to reach the everyday man. Since then the Playboy brand has evolved into a serious player in the shoe business.
PLAYBOY TODAY
Today the Playboy brand is divided into two ranges – Playboy Footwear and Playboy Shoes. Footwear for the cool and casual thinking consumer and Shoes for the more classic and high profiled consumer who wants to combine fashion with good quality. The Original Playboy shoe is back on the fashion scene – being a shoe mostly for the grown up consumer you now find the shoe in the fashion environment for the younger man - retro look.
Today the Playboy brand presents a variation of ‘dressed’ shoes in black or brown leather or materials a patent, suede or lizard.
